Portada
I am Laura Pacios, violinist and singer, as well as composer.
My passion is transforming emotions into melodies, connecting with the audience through the violin and voice, and creating unique musical experiences both in live concerts and at special events.
I started playing the violin when I was 4 years old and since then this instrument has accompanied me and been part of my life.
I had classical training for 10 years at the Arturo Soria Conservatory and at the same time I decided to expand my training by starting to sing, studying and experimenting with other styles such as jazz at the Creative Music School in Madrid or folk, actively participating in festivals such as the Cáceres Irish Fleadh or Crisol de Cuerda and with other instruments such as the mandolin, the guitar and some percussions such as the tambourine and the square tambourine.
At 17, I moved to Barcelona to continue growing musically, and in 2022, I graduated with a degree in jazz violin and modern music from the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu. While studying, I continued to expand my training in other genres such as flamenco, jazz manouche, country, bluegrass, old-time, folk, and Irish music, all while working alongside great musicians of different styles, and I began to develop an interest in music pedagogy.
Music and my violin have allowed me to travel, meet other artists, share music, and play in many different venues around the world (Europe, India, Egypt, the US, Latin America, etc.), in auditoriums, festivals, theaters, stadiums, etc.
In July 2022, I joined the musical quartet Las Migas as a violinist and backing vocalist. Since then, I have toured internationally with them and participated in their latest albums; Flamencas (2025) and Rumberas (2024), a tribute to Rumba and Rumberas nominated for the Latin Grammys (2024).
I am the founder of the Petricor duo, Mussol Duet, and I am part of the Albert Bello & Laura Pacios Quartet.
I have received training and have been able to share music and stage with great violinists and musicians such as Christoph Mallinger, Oriol Saña, Christian Howes, Casey Driessen, Alaisder Fraser, Lena Jonsson, Bastien Ribot, Albert Bello, Jordi Pinyol, Tony Williamson, Patxi Pascual, Jason Anick, Darol Anger, Fiona Monbet, Jon Pilatzke, Pepe Rivero, Diego Galaz, Blanca Altable, Ernesto Briceño, Begoña Riobó, Denys Stetsenko, Anders Hall, Hanneke Cassel, John Carty, Frank Gavin, Mitch Depew, Raphael Maillet, Lluis Gómez, Anna Lindbland, Miron Rafajlovic, Andy Philips, Miguel Malla, Judith Mateo and Juan Hernando Celi among others.
I have had the opportunity to share the stage, study hours, music and experiences with national/international artists or from other genres such as Calema, Viva Suecia, Kevin Johansen, Nano Stern, Valeria Castro, Guillem Roma, Xavibo…
I currently combine the stage with my role as a teacher, giving violin lessons in different styles of music (classical, jazz, folk, etc.) to all ages and levels.
I also organize introductory improvisation workshops for musicians who want to get started in the world of improvisation.
